We were appointed by PP O’Connor Limited to carry out the full internal soft strip to the building that was to remove all non hard finishes to the building to enable the dismantling of the block to be completed.

Our works was to complete the full internal soft strip, to process all materials within the building into separate waste streams and manageable sizes, then all materials were passed into the redundant lift shaft and recovered at ground level by use of a bobcat machine and removed from the building.

The building comprised of 16 floors and each floor had 6 residential units.  Our works involved the removal and disposal of all doors, external and internal, floor finishes, carpets, vinyl, laminates, the actual timber floor, insulation beneath and joists.  All non loadbearing walls, fixed furniture, bathrooms, ceilings, insulation within ceilings and ceiling supporting frames.   Following the lift car and rails removal, works commenced on the 16th floor and worked in the direction of the ground.

All materials were processed into waste streams before being placed in the lift shaft and removed at ground level.
