Lift Shaft Overrun and Chimney

Scope of Works:

We were engaged by ARJ Construction to carry out the careful hand demolition of the former Chimney and Lift Shaft over run at roof level, with all arisings  on the former OGS boiler house flue structure to the lower ground floor by use of a Brokk 100 demolition machine.

 

The structure was known to contain asbestos packing materials therefore the works were completed under the watching eye of a licensed asbestos removal contractor and an independent analyst.

 

The structure was carefully demolished to enable the asbestos removal team remove the asbestos packers intact whilst under constant air monitoring by the analyst.

 

Following the asbestos removal works the materials was crushed within tower ground floor by use of a “Red Rhino” crusher and the materials were re-engineered within the building.

 

The works were completed on site over a 10 day period.
