Project:
Retaining Walls Preston
Scope of Works:
Following a structural report of the walls carried out by Thomas Consulting on behalf of our client Brookhouse Group LLP, there was some concerns over loose brickwork and vegetation to the upper ten courses that would need to be removed.
The overall length of the retaining wall was over 200m and the wall acted as a boundary for various business and residential units.
The height of the wall was reduced by hand method by operatives working from with scissor lifts and cherry picker type motorised platform. All brickwork arising from the works was crushed on site to produce a 6f2 recycled crushed product.
Once the height of the walls had been reduced and all vegetation had been removed, a concrete haunch was formed to the top of the wall to act as weatherproofing.
