Queen Street Emergency Works

Scope of Works:

We were instructed by Preston City Council Building Control division to carry out remedial making safe works to a section of retaining wall which had suffered a partial collapse during high winds.

When we first arrived on the scene we closed the road to traffic, putting a diversion in place and provided staff to evacuate pedestrians from a nearby office block.

​

The access equipment then landed on site to allow our operatives to reduce the height of the wall by hand method to a safe height as agreed with the local authority.

​

Works were carried out through the evening until the wall had been adequately reduced.
