Shankley Hotel, Preston, Lancashire Phase 1

Scope of Works:

To carry out environmental cleaning works to remove bird infestation, removal of all plant and machinery associated with the passenger lift cars, works to partially demolish roof structures, walls and a concrete floor.  All materials were removed from the building in a piecemeal operation through the building into the site compound area where they were then loaded into skips and disposed off site.

 

All plant within the lift motor room had to be dismantled to a size no larger than 800mm in length to enable it to be passed through the pedestrian access hatch to the plant room.  Hand demolitions to the walls and concrete floors were carried out by use of Hilti Vibration Reducing equipment with all works recorded on HAV exposure records.

Programme: We were given a 2 week window in which to complete all works and clearance.
