Scope of Works:

The scope of works for this project was the careful removal of the asbestos cement sheeting to the roof and outer walls, a full internal strip out prior to demolitions.

 

Trained operatives wearing full PPE operated MEWPS to enable us to access the fixing bolts that hold the sheets in position. All sheets were removed whole and intact and the project was completed in line with the NNNL notification issued to the HSE

 

The building was demolished to slab level and then we excavated the ground slab, foundations and all hard standings within the site boundary.  All such hardcore was removed from site and the area left level and ready for building.

 

This project was a “fast track” demolitions though certain elements deemed as “noisy works” were restricted to agreed hours so as not to cause a nuisance to the residents in the immediate vicinity.

 

Works were completed within 6 weeks from Commencement with an average staffing level of 6-8 men
