Project:
External Façade Works
Scope of Works:
We were engaged by ARJ Construction to carry out the removal of a concrete reinforced plinth that formed part of the external façade structure to the first floor on the rear elevation that will form the link to the new section of the hotel being erected on the rear elevation.
Our works also involved the hand demolition of a 80m2 section of brick infill to the rear elevation at ground level that will also link the new part of the hotel.
The brickwork was demolished by hand method by operatives using the latest Hilti vibration reduced hand held breakers to reduce the brickwork down to slab level whilst working off an independent scaffold with all rubble sent to a skip via the waste chute.
The concrete plinth was removed by use of a Brokk remote controlled demolition machine fitted with concrete pulverisor jaws and the base of the wall was cut flush by use of a wall mounted track saw.
All debris associated with both tasks was recycled off site by Kenny Waste Management.
Works were carried out over a 1 week period with an average of 3-4 men on site at all times.
